Mother Nature Smiles @ the 3oth Annual MRR

5K athletes enjoyed a stunning, new urban course today, celebrating the 30th annual Madison River Run in Ennis, Montana. On this cool sunny day, Haakon Nies from Belgrade, Montana crossed the line first with a time of 22:14.9. In the female category, Ennis local Jessica Wittenberg took home the gold with a time of 24:37.1.

The Madison River Run starts at the high school (go Mustangs) and meanders through the quaint neighborhood en route to the Madison River in Lions Club Park. The net elevation drop is 67 feet, making for an enjoyable, flat 5K contest. Thanks to all of the GYAS volunteers today that made the day easily manageable.
